The trash collected in the program was taken home by the participants, who disposed of it in their own household trash. |
Comment from the branch office |
Our employees’ commitment to these activities is growing. Every year we are able to obtain a steady rate of participation.
In the past we made increasing the number of participants a goal. Today, when almost all employees participate, the number of participants is mainly affected by personnel transfers and the number of people in each employee’s family. We judged that these factors are meaningless in terms of motivation to participate, so now our goals are focused on the activities themselves. |

It was a sunny day with an occasional cold wind when we did our activities. Fortunately, the day’s work ended uneventfully, with nobody getting hurt.
The weeds around the irrigation channel had once again become overgrown. They seem to get tougher with each passing year. Nonetheless we were able to restore an orderly appearance to the area, thanks to the sterling efforts of the participants.
Many people took part this year, including female employees and employees’ families (children), helping to make the cleanup effort a meaningful activity once more. |
